Mooresville, NC – Kyle and Stacy Tucker don't have to share much from a Camaro perspective. You can usually always see Stacy in her blue DSE 1969 Camaro Test Car and Kyle a few feet away piloting his matching blue DSE 1970 Camaro Test Car. This weekend was a bit of a different story, the 1970 Camaro stayed back at the ranch and Kyle and Stacy had to share some seat time in the 1969 Camaro Test car. Not that it was in any way detrimental to their comfort factor and autocross times.

The show kicked off Friday morning inside of the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Autocross action started bright and early at 9:00 AM and lasted all day until 4:00 PM with a short break in the middle for lunch. Saturday was more of the same with identical hours as Friday and the Super Sunday autocross lasted from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Stacy, Kyle and Matt (sharing seat time with Kyle in the DSE 1966 Mustang Test Car) put in numerous laps throughout the weekend, perfecting their lines and cutting off crucial tenths of seconds off of their time. In the end it paid off for all three but mostly for Kyle who took home 1st place in Pro-Class as well as capturing the overall time for the weekend in the 1969 Camaro Test Car. Kyle, Stacy and Matt were not the only DSE "Equipped" cars out on the track. Donnie and Angela Friese were out in their 1932 Highboy, Paul Atkins in his 1969 Camaro and Ryan Fultz in his Chevelle were carving corners all weekend.

After a fantastic weekend full of fun, great customers and thrilling autocross action the Detroit Speed Team packed up and made their way back to home base in Mooresville, NC for some much needed R & R after a schedule of 5 shows in 4 weeks.

The Test Cars will get a breather for most of the month of October until heading out for SEMA and the OUSCI that takes place the day after the SEMA show. Next up is our home show, Goodguys Charlotte that will take place October 26th - 28th. Don't forget the annual Detroit Speed Open House that will be held directly following the Friday Goodguys show.
