Stacy Tucker drives the DSE 1969 Camaro Test Car in the SCCA autocross at the zMax Dragway.| Mooresville, NC – Testing, testing and more testing. Detroit Speed believes any chance to put miles on and beat up our Test Cars is beneficial for us as much as it is our customer. We had the chance to do that Saturday, April 7th at the zMax Dragway parking lot near the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Practicing what we preach, Detroit Speed had just spent the previous day down at the Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw beating on the Test Cars on their road course. The following day, the DSE 1969 and 1970 Camaro Test Cars as well as the new DSE 1966 Mustang Test Car took the quick trip down to Charlotte from Mooresville to compete in the Central Carolina Sports Car Club of America autocross at the zMax Dragway. After an early morning tech inspection followed by a 9:30 driver's meeting, the first car hit the track at 10:00 AM. This is a great track setup in the enormous zMax Dragway parking lot. All three Test Cars were able to put in multiple laps and dial in our settings for future autocross events. See pictures from the event on page 2.
