Detroit Speed’s front subframe is a bolt-in replacement for the original stock subframe. It improves the handling and ride quality by utilizing Detroit Speed’s unique suspension geometry. It is the ONLY subframe in the aftermarket industry with hydroformed frame rails. The hydroformed frame rails feature strength and stiffness, precise quality and repeatability. Hydroforming preserves the steel’s strength and stiffness because it is performed at low temperatures, unlike traditional high temperature processes which decrease material strength.

Up to a 10" wide wheel can be packaged without modification to the inner wheel wells. Both the main and secondary crossmembers are stamped for structural rigidity. SBC, BBC, LS1, LS2, and LS7 engines have been designed as a direct bolt-in into this subframe.

Our subframe has been designed, engineered, and developed for the road and track. This subframe blends the benefits of current OEM technology and aftermarket performance into one product!

Double Adjustable Shock:
This is the most race winning shock JRI has in its stable. With its two independent adjustments and the enormous range of adjustment it can be set to the exacting demands of the driver and performance levels required while providing excellent ride quality on the street.

Note: Subframe must ship freight.

Note: Must use at least 17” wheels that require a minimum inside wheel diameter of 16.250".

Note: For competition applications, the Detroit Speed rack & pinion fluid transfer conversion kit will replace the hardlines on your DSE rack & pinion using -4 AN steel fittings. The hoses are Teflon lined to handle the high pressure demands of the steering system and come with pre-crimped stainless steel fittings to attach to the -4 AN fittings.

I'm fortunate enough to have one of the very first Hydroformed subframes that DSE ever made. Quality is over the top, functional and a real nice looking set up also. Allowing the use of a 10" wide will on the front with no needed modifications. I've been a loyal DSE customer since 2004 and still an active customer! Service is always great and they keep a good inventory of parts to minimize wait time.

UNPARALLELED ENGINEERING, IMPECCABLE QUALITY, AND JUST F’ING COOL!!

My 69 Camaro has been finished for about 10 months (built by Dutchboys Hotrods) and I couldn’t be happier with it. I’ve put 4K miles on it in that short period of time. I’ve driven it 400+ miles one way to a show, autocrossed for 3 days, and back home without issue. The car drives and handles as well or better than most modern cars. It has a killer look and stance!

Service and support from Detroit Speed is top notch. I wanted to build a small spare parts box to have on autocross weekends. I couldn’t source a few of the thinner nuts locally and they promptly mailed me everything I needed. They always check in on their customer cars at shows and offer tech help.

Worth every penny!
