Amazing product on street or track

If you’re thinking about a suspension for street, Autocross or track days or curious about the DSE Speed kit-1? It’s Amazing!
I drive a 2015 Camaro SS/RS-1LE. It’s my daily driver and the drivetrain is stock to the manifolds and airbox.
A little background;
I lived in Los Angeles when I bought the car and worked for and mentored under my late friend Dick Guldstrand (longtime Corvette and Camaro racer). He taught me pointers on driving and most importantly about suspensions and setups. I had drag raced in the past, but never Autocross or a road course. I never had the car to do it. In July of 2015 my wife and I moved to Florida. In March of 2016 I did my first Autocross in Ft. Myers, FL. My instructor said I had talent and should compete. A few weeks later I did a driving event at Palm Beach International Raceway. My instructor there said the same thing and was blown away that I had never driven a road course before. I was hooked. He pointed me in the direction of NASA Racing and the Florida region. In April of 2016 I did my first NASA racing, Florida event at Sebring in HPDE-1. By October I had passed into HPDE-4 and ok’ed for Time Trial. I was told I’m the only driver in NASA, Florida’s history to move from HPDE-1 to 4 in three events and was given the award of the 2016 NASA Racing Florida HPDE Driver of the year.. In January of 2017 I started in my first ever race running in TT3 and came in 2nd place holding first until the last session. Next was Homestead. A track I had never driven. In January the car was factory stock except for larger brakes up front. I run a very, very tight budget, but I wanted to make changes to the car for safety and speed before the Homestead event, so I installed an aero kit from Aero Sport Concepts, four point bolt in roll bar, Sport seats to work with a 5 point harness, factory Z/28 wheels and a Detroit Speed- Speed Kit-1 with the factory 1LE struts and shocks. The cars handling was incredible! A world of difference. I finished in third on a new track and only 2.5 seconds off the leader in class. Next was Sebring (our home track) and that’s where I would really be able to tell the difference in setup. I was able to increase corner speeds, later braking and controlled exits on throttle with much more precision. Body roll was drastically reduced and everyone in my class could not believe (and were pretty upset) that I was running them down On street tires in a car I would drive daily and to and from the events. I continued podium finishes. In September I switched to Hoosier R7’s right before the NASA Racing East Coast Championships in October. I finished 2nd and broke into the 2:20’s in very hot humid conditions. I really pushed it. With this suspension And setup I was able to increase my corner speeds by 5 mph in most turns, much later braking and in bishops bend (an on camber, off camber, on camber long sweeping left with a harsh bumping entry apex1 and two) I was able to stay full throttle in 4th topping out at 127mph to hard brakes and the car never felt out of control. Previous speeds were around 112-115mph. I was told I have BIG stones going that fast through there in a heavy car. In October I competed in the NASA Racing East Coast Championships at Sebring and took 3rd (missing 2nd by .233 to a Porsche 911-GT3) it was a great battle and I turned my personal best of 2:27:626. I ended 2017 being NASA Racing Florida Region TT3 1st place points Champion in my rookie year of racing, 2 years into high performance driving and in my daily driver with limited money. It was a dream come true.
None of this is was written to brag about me. Without the parts from Detroit Speed and what they’ve engineered... I couldn’t have done it without it.
