Detroit Speed 1973-83 GM Square Body C10 Selecta-Speed™ Wiper Kit

Follow along as Detroit Speed Engineering Assistant, Peter Bruschi discusses our 1973-83 GM Square Body C10 Selecta-Speed™ Wiper Kit.  Voted Best New Product of 2019 in the Electrical category by Goodguys, this is the first-ever aftermarket wiper kit available for the 1973-83 GM Square Body C10 platform.  As with all Detroit Speed Selecta-Speed Wiper Kits, this kit contains a low profile, 7-speed wiper motor (5 delays, low speed, and high speed), rotary switch, adapter plate, and wiring harness. The laser-cut steel adapter plate mounts the wiper motor to the stock firewall bolt pattern and requires no permanent modifications to the vehicle.  

Specific to the 1975-83 Kit is a LED Switch Plate which allows the driver to adjust the brightness and clarity of the illuminated wiper icon to match factory or aftermarket gauges.

Detroit Speed X-Tracker Hub Adapter Kit - 1993-02 Camaro/Firebird & 1991-96 Corvette

The Detroit Speed X-Tracker Hub Adapter Kit uses heat treated alloy steel adapters to allow the use of SKF Racing X-Tracker Hubs on the factory 1993-02 Camaro/Firebird and 1991-96 Corvette spindle. The wheel hub remains in the factory location and does not affect wheel offset or brake system compatibility and retains full functionality of the ABS system. 

The use of high performance hubs results in improved hub stiffness and performance, reduced brake caliper piston knock-back as well as improved hub durability. The kit is 100% bolt-on and includes all required mounting hardware and electrical connectors. How To Center A Rack & Pinion

In this video, Detroit Speed Sales/Technical Engineer, Dan Oddy will explain how to center your Detroit Speed Rack and Pinion.  In this method, we are doing this process off the car that way when we go to install the steering column and steering wheel in the car, it'll make for a much smoother install.

Detroit Speed SWIVEL-LINK™ Overview

In this video, Detroit Speed Sales/Technical Engineer, Dan Oddy discusses our patented SWIVEL-LINK™ Technology, available in all Detroit Speed QUADRALink and rear suspension systems, and shows one one is assembled.  The 4-link design on these tubular trailing arms eliminate bind allowing the rear suspension to fully articulate without the use of noisy spherical rod ends.  They help keep the tires stay on the ground under hard acceleration and cornering.

How to Measure Wheel Backspacing and Why It's Important

In this video, Detroit Speed Sales/Technical Engineer, Dan Oddy discusses the importance of wheel and tire size as well as wheel backspacing when beginning a project car.  This should be one of the first steps in the build process to ensure you can get the tire and wheel under the body when lowering the car, there's enough room for your brake package, and that when you turn the wheel lock-to-lock, that your tire will not rub on the fender.

Listen as Detroit Speed's Sales/Technical Engineer, Dan Oddy provides the features and benefits of the Detroit Speed 1964.5-70 Mustang Aluma-Frame Front Suspension System.  This all-aluminum front suspension system features a unique cast-aluminum cradle with mounting components which results in a high strength-to-weight ratio.  Unique to the Aluma-Frame is Detroit Speed's Speed-LIGN caster/camber adjusters which allows for a wide range of adjustability to be made precisely and quickly without needing any additional shims.  This system also retains stock frame rails and inner fenders and requires only a small amount of fabrication for installation.
